Rio de la Plata

We booked one of the highest rated excursions on the AirBnb website which was a morning sailing adventure into the river.
El Rio de la Plata is not a typical river. It is geographical plate shelf that extends outwards before turning into the ocean.
The plate is very shallow all the way across. It is so shallow that a canal had to be dug to allow commercial ships to sail
through the area without grounding themselves. Our tour guide was a memorable man named Andres. His English was sufficient and
he loved to tell you a fun fact about the river and then stare at you with the biggest smile you have ever seen. Andres served a
tasty breakfast of facturas, cinnamon toast pieces, and coffee. Then he let me drive the boat out of the marina and into the open water...
